最近和學生投稿一篇論文, 因為在修整的過程中用到AI幫忙, 況且的確是有一個小結果是我們忽略而AI看出來的 (雖然這個結果很容易由已經推導出的結果所得到), 於是在稿件的最後一段我們就參考公用模板誠實寫 "During the preparation of this work, the authors used ChatGPT (OpenAI) for language editing, organization of the exposition, and exploratory assistance with mathematical arguments and computations. All AI-assisted content was critically reviewed, revised, and independently verified by the authors. The authors take full responsibility for the content of the article."
結果收到主編的信, 要我們明確告知是哪些地方用了 AI. 於是我們只好回信寫得更清楚. 也跟學生說, 不相信也沒辦法了. 學生問, 如果一開始就沒說是不是反而就沒事. 所以這真的很弔詭, 這我真的無法回答.
這就是數學界現在信任被破壞的現狀.
